Water Conservation Warning
August 02, 2023
With ongoing drought conditions this summer, we are asking members of CCWSC to help conserve water.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, all of McLennan County is currently classified as being in a Moderate (Level 1) Drought, with more than 60% of the county classified in a Severe (Level 2) Drought.
Bosque County is currently classified as being in a Moderate (Level 1) Drought, with more than 40% of the county classified in a Severe (Level 2) Drought.
We are doing our best to avoid a Tier 1 Drought Contingency, but we need your help!
How you can help:
- No unnecessary watering
- Watering during the late evening or early morning hours
- Watering less frequently through-out the week
- Checking for and repairing Leaks (Leaky faucets, toilets, sprinkler heads, etc.)
